The gites are now available to friends and family only. Friends can be described as anyone who would call themselves a "petrol head" or, as of August, a stargazer.. The cost represent a donation to electricity, rates, tea, coffee, milk, hand soap, washing up liquid, toilet rolls and kitchen rolls plus a charge for cleaning and washing/ironing the bedding. The gites have bedding, hand and bath towels and tea towels. See the gites HERE There is no catch or hidden charges, we are only looking to cover our costs and maintain the gites to the high standard they are today. Car nuts do not have to come in their 7 or classic car. We'd love it if you can, but are equally happy to see you arrive safely in a tin-top.
The 2016 price. will have to go up to £140, (from £120) but we will keep it at £120 for booking made before 1st March 2016 .* Non-club members price is £295 pw.
Payment will be due in the 1st week of May. The normal, mid summer price for gites in the area is now as much as £600 per week. And we do not require deposits for cleaning and/or breakages.
To make a booking email norman@frenchblat.com giving us the date you wish to arrive. We normally accept Saturday to Saturday booking. We will respond with confirmation of the booking, bank details for payment and a list of goods you may require us to get for you (like wine, cheese, ham, soft drinks etc). We can also supply a written route from any of the ports. We would advise not to use SatNav's as they can take you the wrong way. Especially between Rennes and here as a lot of the road is new and the SatNav will take you the long way round.

A typical party time at French Blatting
There are two gites, the Lotus and MG suites.
Every week at French Blatting is a special week. With dozens of blatting routes and places to visit, good restaurants and many events to attend. Of course you can just laze around in the sun on the farm and enjoy the total peace that we usually enjoy at La Foie.
In the evening you will, as long as the sky is clear, see the stars as you've probably never seen them before. Now you'll be able to use our new Celestron CPC800 telescope which will show you the Moon, Planets, Stars and constellations as you've probably never seen them before.
At French Blatting we have one rule - there are no rules. However most of our guests are non-smokers and would, therefore appreciate other guests refrain from smoking in the gites. If something gets broken, we aren't too bothered but would appreciate being informed so we can replace the broken object. There are no deposits, no charges for breakages and no additional cleaning fees. There is a launderette at the local Super U.
