FEBRUARY 2017
Didn't do much at all.
Went to the doctor at 0800. Confirmed full recovery will take quite a few weeks. After I sat in the car whilst Lynne did the shopping. The weather forecast is for very strong winds tomorrow and she doesn't want to get blown away.
Just sat and watched TV
Just sat and watched TV including the football scores as they come in. Newcastle did the job for us (Sheffield Wednesday) and beat Derby. We're now back in sixth place and 3 points ahead of the two following teams.
Just sat around listening to the radio and watching TV
Same as yesterday
Same as yesterday
We went out! Went to Atoll and had a Chinese lunch, very nice. I'm getting better. Lynne went into Boulanger about the camera. They will not send it back to Sony as they're supposed to but want 193€ to repair it. She bought it back. When I get home there's an email from Sony. So I've asked them how do I get it back to them as their dealer will not send it.
Just watched TV and recordings of Grand Designs. This is getting boring....
Same as yesterday except... finally got the data I need to send the camera back to the manufacturer for repair. I've been trying to do this (online registration) since mid December. The site kept telling me to return it to the distributor. I did take it back to the distributor who still claim it's not under warranty and want 193€ to fix it. I'm hoping the manufacturer will repair it under warranty, we'll see. It will go in the post tomorow morning.
We took some post and the camera parcel to the post ofice. Then we had lunch at Joel and Claude's. I had fish soup and put some cheese in it. I picked up a spoonful and didn't notice there was cheese hanging of the bottom of the spoon, the soup ran down the cheese and all over my jumper! After lunch we went to Super U and I sat in the car whilst Lynne did the shopping. We got back at about 1500 and I spent the afternoon watching the football scores come in, whilst I wasn't sleeping!
Did nothing, listened to Radio 4 and watched TV.
I am so BORED!!!!!!
Luckily the temperature outside today is 13c. Our boiler started making a very loud buzzing noise this afternoon. I turned it off and back on again. Within a few minutes it started again. After four restarts I gave up and left it off. Lynne phoned the plumber who installed it. He was working in Angers so said he'd come in tomorrow. He mentioned the call to his son who told him I'd been ill so he came in on his way home, about 1630. All seems well now. He's going to call in on his way out in the morning. I have to go for blood tests tomorrow.
Got that wrong, blood test is tomorrow. Another plumber came to look at the boiler, which is making a very loud noise when the hot tap is turned on. It's stopped making the noise every five minutes when the heating is on. He spent half hour taking it apart and putting it back together only to find it was still the same. He left saying he would call a technician.
Just about to go to Atoll for a Chinese lunch, when I get an email from the camera repairers (not sure if this is Sony or another company). They say they didn't have the original invoice, which I have sent to Sony, and that the camera has physical damage. I telephoned and spoke to an English speaker. He wanted me to send him the four pictures that, I claim, show there is no physical damage. The lunch was very nice. I will send a copy of the invoice tomorrow, Lynne went into Boulanger a got a copy.
Off to hospital for an x-ray.
The x-ray wasn't good news. I still have an infection. It's quite clear on the x-ray. Off to the doctor on Monday anyway.
Watched the football scores coming in.
Watched Spurs beat Fulham.
Same as usual, did nothing at all. Watched TV. How boring.
Same as yesterday.
Went to the solicitor at Segre and asked him to write to boulanger about the camera. He says he will and that they cannot say there is no warranty on the camera case, Then went to Atoll and had lunch at the Chinese. After lunch took a trip to the Honda dealer and made an appointment for them to fit a new mirror to Lynnes Honda Jazz. She broke it off passing a tanker on the road to home.
Did nothing other than watch TV. This is getting so boring.
Same as yesterday.
We went shopping in the morning then had lunch at Creveche D'or, our friends Joel and Claude. In the afternoon my friend Alexandre came from Angers to see how I was, It was really nice to see him. His wife Muriel was in Paris with their daughter who has just matriculated from university.
My football team lost it's crucial match against Leeds. It's hard work being a Sheffield Wednesday fan. Had they won they would have gone fourth in the league.
Same routine as usual, nothing!
Lynne is now not well. She slept most of the day.
Lynne is a bit better, but not 100% She wants me to postpone the fitting of the mirror to her car.
